Katie's vocals and compositions are rooted in classic jazz traditions of blues, be-bop, swing, bossa, experimental jazz, R&B, funk and many other influences. Katie’s sounds are "a wild ride" impossible to describe. Her latest album All Hot Bodies Radiate was #6 on the Top Ten NPR Jazz Critics Poll for Best Vocal Jazz Album of 2015. Katie has been producing hybrid-arts (inter-disciplinary arts) events for many years. She is currently dedicated to the intersections of art & environmental activism. Her current producing project, Climate Force, brings inter-disciplinary artists & earth activists together to help spread earth justice awareness, action & performer-audience unity, for the protection of our earth.
